I hope little Deagan is getting over her op and feeling much better today. Hope you too are soon feeling better Griff :flowers:

It's raining rain here. Really raining rainy rain. I had to ring the county council and complain about the blocked gulley outside our back gate as it was flooding under the gate up to our back door. I reported the blockage weeks ago but they didn't come to see to it. However the men arrived to do the unblocking about an hour-and-half after I rang and sorted it :)

I am popping over to Eamont Bridge this afternoon to swap pressies with friends who live there.

Oh and I lost a filling last night! My dentist isn't open until this afternoon and closed tomorrow. As I am seeing friends this afternoon that means I can't get sorted until Monday but I hope they get me in then. It doesn't hurt or anything but I want it sorted for Christmas.

edited coz I am plank

Noel the supervet is clearly only concerned with animal welfare, the tv programme is really an add on used to show what he is doing re his pioneering work.

Lots of these type of programmes have spin off or specials, how about contacting the programme makers pitching then the idea of him coming over for a couple weeks. it will help you help all the animals in your care, as well as publisising Dogstar !

and if theydont go for ir nothing lost !

just a thought

Sam, so sorry to hear about Bruno :GroupHug:

Griff, sorry you've been poorly. I hope things improve soon. Glad Deagan's spay went smoothly.

Jayne, I hope the lurge clears soon :flowers:

I've spent my first day off work packing boxes. Have our agility club Christmas meal tonight, so that'll get me out of the house :) I wrapped all my presents today, so that I could pack the rest of the wrapping paper. Logan will tell you that he was very helpful and that I couldn't have done it without him. I will tell you that all of the presents Logan helped with have claw marks on them, a few have teeth marks, and it took 4 times as long as it should have as he kept stealing Kia's present and running off with it. He did make me laugh though, which is all I can ask for :)

I have never actually seen the show ! we are sending his x rays to a fantastic referral centre in the UK who have agreed to look at them for free ( saving me a cool £300 ! ) once they assess him we will know what if any thing can be done but yes getting a specialist to come over might be an option

Supervet in Sri Lanka has a nice ring to it !

how about the hunky vet in the other programme that you said goes over there?

Luke Gamble , is he Hunky ?

He is coming over next year as we are working with him and his team on a new project , again he might be able to get me a specialist to volunteer and it does really need to be a specialist

Jayne, how old are your kitties now? I see you have a holiday planned for March (now there's a surprise! :D), will they be old enough to go into a cattery whilst you're away? I think they have to be over six months.

Sorry to hear that about your job, Alex..I remember you being so pleased when you got it.

Jazz, thank the lord you're not a horse, they'd have shot you by now! Hope it soon feels better.

They are 4 months old tomorrow. They are already booked into the cattery for when I go away. They have their second injections on Saturday, will be interesting to see how much they have grown  I have a new exercise monitor for the gym and you had to sit and monitor your resting heart rate before you exercise with it for the first time. I was sat on the sofa and Walter jumped onto my foot whilst chasing after his feather on a stick and dug his claws right in to my foot. They are so funny though! Love them both to bits!!

Hope your pain eases Jazz :flowers:

Hope you get your teeth sorted Marion :flowers:

Look after yourself Griff :GroupHug:

Hope your job situation eases Alex :flowers:

Moaning :tired:

As you can tell, I've not slept well (worrying about work). I speak to my boss about it but although he's lovely, he doesn't really fight your corner or take any of it on himself, which I'm used to in a manager. The way we work is that you get given a project to do, even if you have absolutely no experience in that area, which I'm really not comfortable with and the result is that we've done things one way, only for someone (who was involved in the project) to say, oh we should have done it this way. This particular supplier I'm working with has not helped matters in the least because they have been spectacularly incompetent (specifically one person) and we've now got another person who's having to come in and sort out the problems. Part of the problem is that we've had a shuffle round and my boss now reports in to the finance director, who is new and is very different to what we're used to (and not in a good way).
