I am so sorry for your loss Snow but I am so proud of your utterly selfless dedication to Nog's wellbeing and welfare

You will recall that Mark and I had a similar choice with Winston many years ago , to let him go there and then or bring home for a few days on strong painkillers and sedatives. Mark and I where in shock at the speed of events and you very kindly shared with me then a story regards a previous dog you had owned who had had a rapid diagnosis like Winnie which helped us greatly with the choice we had made.

Thank you - all of you xxx I cannot sleep, I have dozed off and on but have given up for now, I don't question the decision we had to make, I just wanted this to be ulcers so badly, but have had a feeling it was more than that ever since we saw the blood in the vomit on Thursday. All our dogs are special to each and every one of us, I don't know if Nog being our only dog makes it harder or not, I do know that I have been very lucky to have had Nog in my life, Nog chose us right back that first day, he chose us and he made damned sure he was coming home with us. He owes us nothing, everything we did for him he gave back to us a million fold, he loved us so much and he always always let us know that he did, the hole he's left is immense. The house feels so empty without him.

So very sorry to hear about Nog, Snow.

I'm sure everyone here has felt the pain you have now. I feel sure you made the kindest decision to let Nog go at that point.

In my experience having other dogs doesn't lessen your grief but it does give you a reasons to keep going as you have to be strong for them, continue walks etc. I have wondered if this causes you to bottle it up a bit and grieve for longer but I really don't know if that's true.

Hello CRB :flowers: Sorry to hear of your loss.

I've been to the (snotty) doctor. I do hate it when you get a doctor who looks down her nose at you  My shoulder pain is muscular. She offered me Codeine, which I turned down because I am hypersensitive to a lot of medicines and can't even take a couple of the over the counter ones (tried it once and felt like a zombie for the rest of the day). She's given me some Naproxen which are stronger NSAIDs. Am going to try taking a couple and see how I get on with them.

Sorry to hear that CRB.

I always ask them for a referral and just tell them I have seen a specialist and that I need a referral. Hopefully you can find a better doctor.

I am being bored to tears by a work colleague talking at me...he is the best, done everything blah blah blah...

((hugs)) CRB

Alex I take Naproxen/Naprosyn for my bursitis they were the only thing that touched the pain when it flared up last time and now the first sign of it starting to act up I take 2 a day for 2 days and it usually comes to nothing.

Just had the carpet cleaning guy here to deal with the huge stain from where Nog vomited blood on Saturday (? I've lost all track of the days) we'd left it alone as we didn't want to disturb Nog so it had dried in and I wasn't at all sure it would come out, and frankly couldn't care less either a carpet is nothing really. Anyway nice bloke came, dog owner himself so was really nice when I broke down talking about how it happened etc. he's really done a good job the stain is all out and he only charged me £35.

Poor bugger at M&S got the full force of me sobbing this morning when I rang to tell them we wouldn't need the policy anymore.

Snow - better to cry and get it all out :GroupHug: You blub as much as you like. I had to go into work the morning after having Max PTS at midnight. I was a complete state.
