Yantan   don't suppose chucking parsley after it will help  a lovely spanish fella told me that he could eat garlic and not get whiffy breath as he used to eat parsley after it..... that was about 30 years ago and i have never forgotten it

i slept awfully which serves me all right,my head hurts but at least i don't feel sick  i think that will be my last drink.... my consultant will kill me for drinking!

Snow, what a wonderful thing to do... give somebody back their sight, i am not very good at saying the right thing but i am thinking of you and your family :GroupHug:

Thanks guys. Well the nice Doctor man disagrees with the nurses idea and is sending me for blood tests. It could be an issue with the adrenal gland and my electrolyte levels, which I think would make sense and so should be easy to manage! Run with electrolyte drink not water...simples (or steroids to manage it - boo).

Snow continued hugs and love being sent and what a wonderful opportunity you have given someone. xxx

Yantan, we used to wash our hands in beer after lots of garlic chopping as you could then wash your hands in normal warm, soapy water to get rid of all the smell!!

Just waiting to go to the farm, as have the vet coming to see Blue at 12, as he hasn't been right for a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed the vet can find something easily mendable.

Keeping fingers crossed :flowers:

Lionel Laptop

I've just bought and downloaded a book to my Kindle (he's called Kevin by the way) The Elephant Whisperer. I think I am going to need a box of tissues. If anyone has a Kindle and is interested it's only 99p until April 12th.

the front is all damaged on the car, one wheel absolutely knackered, bullseyed windscreen, the company are just being a*ses  i don't understand why the car was being moved at 11am  my parents weren't due to land until about 2pm and they were really delayed too so got back later and the company states they track yor flight so there is no hanging about  the companies one saving grace has been the lad dealing with them this afternoon...just a driver lad who was left to deal with it as the "manager" went home

i will also get the ecu read so i can see the speed the car was being driven at braking speeds etc etc

my vet is going to talk to the specialist at the vet college tomorrow to see what to do next. I dont know if I want to know :mecry:

Run free Grizzly bear.

Sorry to hear about your Mum Snow.

Had a carp weekend - went out with a friend on Friday to go 'photoing' - we both like to take 'unusual' photos of everyday things, enjoy the peace and quite of natural places etc. When I got back I didn't feel as 'rested' as I usually do, had a row with Big Dave :(

Woke on Saturday feeling 'anxious' :mecry: Big Dave decided to 'have a chat' which ended with me even more :mecry: :mecry: :mecry:

Following day, I tried to call my local Mental Health support team for the first time. Got a message which said it was only available 9-7 Mon - Fri and 9-5 Sat and Sunday. They would return my call - but no indication that I should leave a message, no 'beep' nothing. Tried the 24/7 helpline, which turned out to be the Hospital switchboard. By this time I was pretty histerical and the girl kept wittering on about how she'd been able to leave a message when she'd tried, so I hung up. Then Dave called me from his car phone, and hung up on me! Finally managed to get through to somebody with some sense on the hospital switchboard who took my contact details and got the mental health team to call me back. I remember sobbing that I just wanted it all to stop, and she said she'd get them to ring me back this morning - and I'm still waiting.

I knew Dave was goin to be hopeless as an advocate (as he proved yesterday by walking out and asking me to withdraw our savings as he was going to resign his job and would need money to live on, and I wasn't to pay the mortgage this month!!) but I thought at least I could rely on the health professionals.. :mecry:

Oh Jazz, poor mite :GroupHug:

Gooster, hope the horsepital can sort Blue out.

griff, that is unbelievable. What do the blighters say happened to it? And how mean of the manager to leave the lad to deal with you, while he went off early presumably to work out his options and try to find a way of ducking and diving out of the mess. What's the betting he went off to take legal advice? Take them to the cleaners

My mum seems to have reacquired some of her lost marbles and a fair bit of her short term memory. We have noticed that she seems more lucid and can hold a normal conversation most of the time. Some old friends went to see her on Friday and were amazed that she not only remembered everything about their respective careers but also their children's careers. A year ago she would have struggled to recall their names. I was just relieved that she had reached a plateau and was not sliding further into dementia, but it seems that she is climbing back up out of the hole. She has even remembered how to read though finds it hard work. This kind of thing is in theory not supposed to happen. My sister puts it down to the CoQ10 supplement mum has been taking. I can't think of anything else. It's strange, but nice

murtle, hope the electrolytes will sort the problem.

I am still disgusting and not fit to be seen or associated with, will be glad to see the back of this bug.
