April's Astonishing Allocution

Oh fun and games here this morning. It's #2 son's 17th birthday. We were just taking our cups of coffee outside when he spots a small corn snake just outside the back door (the dogs have been in the garden with it!!!) It's now curled up on a slightly warm wheat bag waiting to be taken to a specialist pet shop in Oxford who've offered to take it on and care for it and rehome it :luvlove:

I like corn snakes, pretty things. My son used to keep snakes and lizards when he was younger.

I'm kicking myself..I've been so bound up in my worries about things that I totally forgot it's my daughter and her OH's 11th anniversary tomorrow, they're going down to London today and seeing a show tonight, another tomorrow then home on Sunday. I should have sent a card to arrive early and it went completely out of my head. edited to add: happy birthday for your son Fran...coffee outside?? I'd have a cup full of rainwater if I did that, still tipping it down here.

I like corn snakes

I *might* have bought some ickle bitty fuchsias, but they are so small that they don't really count and they only cost me £3 for 12 plants for my hanging baskets :D

I bought a water butt as an overflow for my large one, but it's not going to be as easy as I thought to connect it to the big one because of the way the garden slopes, so it would be higher up than the big one. I have to have a radical rethink.

ooooooooooo a corn snake how lovely..... hopefully somebody is missing it and will have it returned :)

Suzeanna i am sure your son and daughter in law won't mind the card arriving late.... especially as you are trying to fight an awful mining development on your doorstep :flowers:

i am not surprised you bought more plants merledogs...... we all know you have an addiction :biglaugh:

had the Drs this morning, i keep getting covered in bruises i thought i was anemic as i am always tired, i get up and i feel like i haven't been to bed (i don't sleep very well due to pain) to my surprise i am not anemic!! i have a low folic acid count, raised white cell count (lymphocytes?) and a low birillium count...none of which concerns him. he tried to suggest i could be depressed, granted my life totally sucks but i am not depressed, he asked if i had any stress in my life, no!... now he has decided i need to leave off my painkillers for a few days and see how i feel! i barely leave the house already as i am in so much pain god knows what i will be like now! i will try it and if it works he will need to switch me onto different pain killers as i won't be able to stand the pain without (i really don't think he realizes how much pain i am in as i was brought up not to moan and get on with things!)

Griff, that sounds awful for you...maybe it's time to stop the stiff upper lip bit and really let him know how much you hurt. :bighug:

Had a phone call from daughter...they are at the Trafalgar Hilton, and have been upgraded to a deluxe room. I had a look online....jealous, me? you bet I am!

OMG Jazz i hope they find lewis' stuff!!!

how lovely that your family have been upgraded suzeanna, hope they have a lovely time!

i will try and tellthe doctor how sore i am, whether he will believe me or not i don't know! i was made out to be a liar and fake by my consultant but when i saw a specialist in oswestry he diagnosed me on the spot and lo and behold my consultant didn't treat me as a faker anymore so i am always wary of telling doctors things (even though my gp is lovely)

could somebody please stop the rain now... i am totally bored of it!!

When my now daughter in law moved down from Scotland to live with my son, all her best clothes, coats etc. were sent on by her parents in a big box...that vanished off the face of the earth. They tracked it so far then...nothing. I do hope Lewis has better luck and his turns up on Monday.
