Bella 3 Yr Old

Recommended Posts

My name is Bella I am a 2/3 yr old lab/retriever x. I have not had a good start to life and a rather long story to tell. I was dumped by my owners when young and ended up in not very good rescue where I was found to be pregnant, they kept me there and tried to make me be a good mummy but I was only a baby myself and didn't really want to know so they decided to home me as quickly as they could. I was homed un spayed to a lady who took me to live outside in her shed with her other dog .It wasn't very nice in there and at times very cold and wet. I shared the shed with another male dog who wasn't done and made me have babies again. They were not with me long before they were sold and I was pregnant again this time the lady said she was not keeping me or him any more as was fed up with us so was going to take us to the vets to be PTS but luckily for us all we were taken in by a nice lady and since Xmas my babies and I have been under the care of Futures for Dogs.

I have not been able to feed my new babies as well as I should have as we have all been poorley so my foster mum has been feeding them for me. I don't mind at all and just watch her through the baby gates with the other dogs. She has promised me I will never have to go through all this again.

My foster mum says I am beautiful especially now I have had a bath and been groomed etc and I am very clever .I have learnt to live indoors and am being crate trained I have had a couple of accidents but my foster mum says that it doesn't matter and has not shouted at me once for it. I have met the cat here who is really nice to me and purrs when she sees me. I am also in foster with 2 other dogs & a young puppy and they are really nice to me and I quiet like them all though they do bounce around a lot at times. They have been showing me how to play with things called toys and I quiet like the thing called a squeaky ball.I have also been on a couple of short walks with them and foster mum says I am sooooo good on the lead and she has even let me off in the field as well .I don't go very far as I do like to stay near her and make sure she is not going to leave me there alone. The boys however run along way off but when she calls them back we all get a yummy treat.

I like this being part of a family and living in a home even though it is only temp and hope that one day soon I will have my own forever family.
