kats n greys
Our ex feral Onion has tonight been diagnosed with a fast growing tumour on his spleen, he's going in for a scan tomorrow (rather than an exploratory op) :mecry:

sproggie14
Sending healing thoughts x My in-laws dog Zoe recently had her spleen removed along with a nasty tumour which was making up 2 of her 11 kilos! She has recovered very well so everything crossed that Onion will too x

kats n greys
Not very good news it's not on his spleen (if it had been there was a better chance that it was operable). It appears to be on his liver and we were offered a couple of choices 1) open him up and see if it's operable (probably less than 10% chance that it could all be removed) and it would mean that we probably would have to let him go without waking him up, as it wouldn't be worth putting him through the recovery period. 2) Treat him with steroids - hopefully improve his appetite and then spoil him. We have taken the 2nd option and we'll see how we go- don't know if it's the selfish one, but we both think that we would rather he a good few days/weeks than play the odds the other way. Thanks everybody for their good wishes they are much appreciated. It's strange a few weeks ago we thought we were going to lose his 1/2 brother George and he is slowly improving every day and all of a sudden we are probably going to lose Onion before. owl
for you and Onion, sorry results weren't better. The choice you made doesn't sound selfish at all, but very reasonable and with Onion's best interests at heart.
