Flo update:

She's much cheerier today, found a ball earlier and had a bit of a play. Unfortunately, both dogs were due at the groomer today and Como has now gone. Flo is now beside herself because her brother isn't here. She won't leave us alone and has been pacing around whimpering and looking out of the window. She's now settled down a bit and is laid at OH's feet grumbling.

I'm having a hell of a job getting her tablets in her and told the groomer (known to the dogs as "Aunty Laurie") She asked for the tablets, opened Flo's jaws, popped them in and they were gone! Aunty Laurie doesn't take any nonsense and the dogs love her!!

yesterday was national dump your bullbreed day in this neck of the woods i took over thirty calls, passing ten onto breed rescues (sorry) and filled four spaces and squeezed a small one into foster so today will be spent trying to sort the remaining fifteen out i despair really i do sad01_anim.gif

It's awful isn't it? sad.gif Group_Hug_Emoticon.gif

Dont worry, its not a man flu type bug, or swine flu or even bog stardard issue flu... its a bunged nose, cough and whizzy temperatures bug so sadly not severe enough to require bed and rest laugh.gif

Sending lots of "feck off" thoughts flowers.gif

Glad Flo and Wispa are slightly better flowers.gif

 we have sunshine and it's warm as well, just had a lovely walk in the park with the Ds,and they haven't come home plastered in mud for once  Anyone else having FaceBook problems,it's just hanging for me and I can't post either, wouldn't normally bother me but just had tragic news on a Terrier forum that a member has died suddenly leaving 2 children under 2 and 3 JRTs that her husband doesn't know what to do with, hoping to find kennels for the dogs so he doesn't rush into decisions to rehome them at such a tragic time. :(

Zico's mum that is so tragic :(

RMF : I decided the other day to switch the dogs back to CSJ Command Performance food (they were on the Champ for a while) so had some CP21 Salmon delivered. Miss Milly-mouse, who turns her nose up at kibble on its own, has just gobbled up a small bowl of it without anything added  The other dogs just about took my fingers off too when I gave them some.

Hey folks! Xmas night out was very successful and everyone seemed to have a good time. Met lots of peeps I knew from other places at the venue so super sociable butterfly, all finished at 12 and then I went on to another gathering - this must be a whole year of socialising in one evening!! Was very much good fun and I got to spend some unexpected time with my noo boy Sam

Thinking lots of healing thoughts for Flo and Wispa, though I'm still struggling with the idea of a vicious pineapple

Very sad about the lady zicosmum. Sounds as though you know who to contact so best of luck for them all.

Pleased Flo is feeling more like her beautiful self today and in fine stubborn form.

Di take paracetamol for your temperature. That helped me last week.

zico's mum that is terrible :mecry:

I have bought a coat for Wispa as she has absolutely no stamina and may get cold while she can't run. The only one in her size in the farm store was a dayglo orange quilted trekker with fleece sleeves and a fake fur collar which is exactly the same ticked black and white as her own coat. At least we will be able to see her at a distance once she is able to go offlead. To be honest, I don't think she would care if it was barbie-pink with sequins provided she gets to go out on her token mini-walks.

Lynne is that on TT? Icant seem to get on there anymore :-(

More sad news....my best friend's sister's boyfriend hung himself last week. She is only 20 and they were together for years. They read his note out and he thanked 'his girls' (my friend, her sister and their mum), but he just said all he wanted in life was his mum to love him back. She never even went. :mecry: Absolutely tragic, he had everything ti live for
