The amputation went well and they x-rayed her chest to check that the cancer hadn't metastasised, which appeared to be clear (but x-rays only show up tumours larger than 5mm). However, the lymph node which drains that leg was enlarged so he has removed it and sent it for biopsy She is coming round from the anaesthetic but will have to stay in overnight for pain relief and fluids and I should be able to collect her tomorrow. Get a good nights rest so that you are there for her tomorrow when she comes home. If there is anything anyone can help with, let us know and keep us updated on how your sweetheart is.
