Sarah, that would be great, I'd love to...just gotta get through the next few weeks first, feels like I am expanding by the hour lol.

Cheryl, Callum and Carla are great kids and often here, we are in Happisburgh so the beach isn't far away but unfortunately I can only walk to the end of the road and back at the mo as my hip joints are not carrying me very far :( . my partner walks Annie and the kids walk Diddy the yorkie but the others will only go anywhere if I'm there so are just having to make do with the garden at the minute. I am surrounded by all this lovely countryside and practically housebound...it's very frustrating!

Hi Kelly, lovely to hear from you and all your news and glad to hear you now have happiness in your life. Photos are great. I still have little Mitzi the Irisih poundie that you fostered. She arrived in May 2005 ,she is still doing well, a little bit greyer, but still as noisey and all mouth and trousers!! Sorts all other dogs and keeps the horses in their place (I am sure she is convineced they are just big dogs with strange feet)!! I clip her in the warmer weather and she thinks she's the bees knees after, all spruced up. She certainly doesn't have that sad little face that was on the OC website now. She is a character and wouldn't be without her. I lost my old Max the lab x :mecry: aged almost 17 just over a year, on his departing another arrived - Baxter a choccy lab from RDR via LRRSE, a neglected old boy who has been with me for just over a year, he is old and pottery but loves having a potter about the stable yard and having a lay down in the sun for a snooze. He's just being spoilt rotten and loving every minute of it. He is a lovley old gent and didn't deserve the fate he was left to, being deaf, in a thin neglected state, to wander the streets of Rochdale. Hope all goes well with you and your soon to be new arrival, enjoy the dogs, the children and happiness, Best regards, Pat, Baxter and Mitzi :flowers: xxx

Hi Patricia, Really lovely to hear from you. Little Mitz was the first dog I fostered from Ireland and me and the kids adored her. I can remember taing her to fund raise at carboot sales in her little red and black stripey jumper and she just spent the whole time flat on her back getting her belly rubbed. I also remember handing her over to the next leg of the transport run to you and crying my eyes out lol...it would have been so easy to have kept her. I will show the kids your message when they get home from school as they have never forgotten her. Don't spose there's any chance of some recent photo's........? xx

Here's a pic I took of my lot on Saturday....

Hi Kelly, what a tribe you have got, lovely photo. Yes I will try and get some pics down, perhaps a before and after the clip!! She really is a little raggamuffin!! She sits on the counter at the local farm shop where I get the horse feed from, she gets hand fed biccies and made of fuss of. They have a pic on the board of her in her little red/black coat and they are convinced she is like Gnasher, dennis the Menace's dog!! She really ought to have a tiara, she is so spoilt, all mouth and trousers. When I have boarding dogs staying she lets then know she is the boss!! I will give her a big kiss and cuddle from you and the kids. I am just starting my raffle for Aug. to raise a few pounds for RDR and the OC. Like to keep my hand in with the fund raising. Will post pics next week - got to get daughter to take them and get them on computer!! best wishes, :flowers: Pat and Mitzi xx

Hi Kelly,

so nice to hear from you and to know you are back on your feet. I am afraid I lost Tuppence last year, his age caught up with him and I had to make the desicion to let him go to the bridge. I will always be thankfull to you for allowing me to have a wonderfull couple of years with that gorgeous old boy. He fitted in so well after the initial teething problems that you would have thought he had been here since a pup.

I now have a nine year old JRT which came from my local rescue. He is gorgeous and great at home with the cats and rabbits etc, but he is a beasty with other dogs, so I have to walk him on lead and try and avoid area's with lots of dogs. It is a great shame as I miss the places I used to take Tup. This fella has bitten a couple of dogs though and although I am trying to work with him to get past this issue, it is difficult.

Its great to see your dog pics, they always look so happy and well adjusted. I so wish this little bloke would interact with other dogs, as he is missing out on so much not doing so. That is the price of not knowing their background, you never know what has caused the problem to start up in the first place.

We are going to Mundesley in a couple of weeks and had planneda trip to Happisburgh, so we may see you and yours whilst walking.....I will be the one with the small gorgeous JRT that is shouting a warning frantically when I see you that he is the devil in disguise when it comes to others doglets!! :(

Looking forward to pics if the 'minidoodle' when it arrives.... :)

Take care,

Lorraine

So sorry to hear about Tuppence Lorraine, he was a lovely boy and one of my very first fosters, though he wasn't here long at all and my madhouse was all a little too much for the sweet old thing.

It is hard when you have a dog that doesn't socialise well with others but in time he may get better......wouldn't life be so simple if you could just sit them down and explain how much fun they could have if they would just behave a little differently lol.

I'll look out for you in a couple of weeks...though don't think I'll be going far, only four weeks and two days til my due date..........

Aww, glad I haven't been forgotten after all this time.

Eileen, I will definitely try to make it to the traillie day in August, I assume it is at FAITH. I would love any news on Spot or Benny in particular as I had them with me and knew them best but also Nell and Glen updates as I think we all began to think they would never find the right home.

Thank you for all the well wishes for the arrival of 'minidoodle'......don't mind admitting I'm pretty nervous. Reeeeally excited too but can't help wondering if I'll remember how to look after a baby again, it's been nine years since the last one after all!!

Hi Kelly

Excuse me butting in for Eileen, she is, as always, snowed under. Re the fun Trailie day, no it's not at FAITH ad I shall pm you the details after I've eaten and they will be posted here on the Refuge soon if all goes to plan

I'll give Eileen a nudge to come back and tell you about Spot, Benny, Nell and Glen, tho I can tell you now Nell and Glen are well and happy in their fantastic new home with fab owners

Hi Marion, thank you but Eileen has pm'ed me and I will be doing my very best to be there...especially as Spot and Benny may well put in an appearance    . Benny features in my very all time comic favourite picture of Wally, the expression on his face is of absolute bewilderment lol, would be thrilled to see him again.

Both Spot and Benny were excellent houseguests and really opened my eyes to what fab pets trailies make.

Here are my babies (and very many thanks to Angie for posting them on here -( after an hour of trying to work out how to post 4 on at once I gave up!!) Mitzi goes scatty after she has been clipped, she runs around the garden like she is about a year old  (she is now about 8 yrs old) and she is a fly/bee catcher, :mecry: she is going to get stung one day!! Dear old Baxter as some know, came from Rochdale via LRRSE after being dumped, neglected, thin and deaf wandering the streets, he is just so laid back, well he has to be with mad Mitzi as his companion!!! Hope kids like the pics, lots of hugs and kisses from Mitzi xxxxx (and Pat and Baxter) :flowers:

Aww, thanks Ange and Patricia. She looks really well and Baxter is a beauty too  . The kids loved the pics and they brought a lump to my throat (hormones   ). Where in the world did Mitz's ears come from lol, she's such a poppet. I haven't told Diddy and Emily yet but they are going for very similar haircuts on Tuesday so that I can manage their coat maintenance better for the next few weeks.
