kitty Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 Hi All, I'm new here, but saw this thread and wanted to light a candle for my old boy Sparky who went to sleep for the last time 4 weeks ago. It still doesn't seem real. I cope most of the time, but I can't walk past the little casket with his ashes in without a lump in my throat. It's funny, I just stand and touch it sometimes so I can feel like I'm connected to him again. It's so heart warming to read others posts, and the candle is a lovely thought. Have lit a candle for our dear old Hamish, who came from Manchester Dogs Home at Christmas 2002, and died in the summer, only six months later. I wish you could have stayed, Hamish sweetheart - we weren't ready to say goodbye. We never forget you, pet. Hope you run like the wind now. Thinking of all those who miss their beloved pets tonight.
