SashasMum
I am in a bit of a daze at the moment. Vet has just told us that Sasha has lymphoma, my heart is breaking. The vet says the prognosis is quite poor. She's having tests done on her biopsies to tell us what kind of lymphoma it is - T or B. Would be grateful if anybody has any experience of this. Could we also please trouble you for some reiki. Thank you Mandy x

Muriel
She's lovely, masses of Reiki on the way to all. There are loads of natural treatments can help cancer. First thing I'd do would be to also talk to a Homeopathic/Holistic Vet, to find one, try here http://www.bahvs.com/ http://www.trusthomeopathy.org/trust/tru_over.html Also, have a read at this lot... http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/acancer.htm http://www.canine-health-concern.org.uk/ http://theherbs.info/Pets/pets.html http://www.thefountainoflife.ws/ http://www.herbal-treatments.com.au/human_treatments.html All the best. Vets are often wrong, plus they like to be negative, so - think positive.
SashasMum
Thank you so much everybody. Thanks jane for putting Sashas pic on. There is soooo much stuff to try and read its a bit mind boggling. I just need to try and find out as much as possible so that I can do my best for her. I really appreciate the reiki for her. The vet did seem full of doom and gloom when I spoke to her on the phone, but I'm not going to let my girl go without a fight and giving her every chance possible. I can't believe the supplements that are out there. Some of them sound like a miracle cure, but surely if that were the case then everybody would be using it? SashasMum
What do any of you experienced people think about this? http://www.dogcancer.co.uk/ I would be grateful for any input i.e. suggestions/advice about diet, supplements etc
Muriel
I think as with all things, it's what is right for YOUR dog, and your gut will tell you what that is - your gut is your dog talking to you, she knows what she needs, just listen. Diet - I'd make it all natural - real food, preferably raw, google cancer diet. I think I saw something about that recently, but can't recall where, sorry. Ian (I think) posted some stuff, that may have been among it? I just joined a yahoo group called Silverpets - about colloidal silver - and one of the emails I just got says it can also be great at reducing tumours, so another thing worth investigating. I get mine from Wellspring Herbal. Here's the post... "This is Jeanie and Boo's story, in Jeanie's own words. Sept. 6, 2002 I knew of CS but until the life of my Doberman Boo depended on it, I never paid much attention to it. Boo was diagnosed with bone cancer April 17th of this year and given 6 mos to live. The vet said that the cancer would next go to his lungs, metasticize and then kill him. For two weeks I desperately searched for options‚ as the vets' traditional treatment of amputation and chemo provided only a few additional months with Boo-nothing more.. .the whole while his tumor GREW TREMENDOUSLY. Thru a group of dedicated equine EPM'ers I discovered CS could be given via an IV/cath. My vet agreed and we started a 10 day treatment of 6cc a day of 20-30 ppm. From the day of the first IV, the tumor literally stopped growing for 10 weeks!! It has since grown slightly in odd shapes that are not measureable and feel more to be fluid than bone tumor. But the growth is minimal compared to the two weeks prior to using CS intraveneously! I also started Boo on other supplements such as Barley Green, Ester C, Vit A, Flaxseed Oil, oral CS and Piroxicam (anti-inflammatory Rx). I have to say this dog has never acted healthier or happier. He is unstoppable as to his energy level. At 4 mos my vet begrudgingly agreed to do a chest x-ray. I think more to prove to me that CS could not be doing anything‚ more than anything else. Well....,at 4 months into his 6 month death sentence, the x-rays came back clear. The cancer has not spread! Based on long conversations with CS experts, vets who use CS, etc. I am coming to believe that although CS cannot kill cancer cells due their DNA being altered etc, but that it CAN either kill the rogue cells cancer throws out into the body, causing the cancer to spread, and/or that it boosts the immune system enough that it can fight off these lone cells on it's own. I also believe it helps in killing a lot of the secondary bacterial infections that are known to surround tumors. Do I have proof. No, not technically. But I continue to have a very energetic and happy Doberman by my side that is proof enough for me. We will be starting a 2nd IV series in the next week. I also continue to look at add'l alternative therapies etc. But for me CS has definitely not only improved Boo's quality of life it is extending his life." I found some other links for you, but I haven't read through them, they were posted either here or on dp http://www.cancer-prevention.net/ http://users.mrbean.net.au/~wlast/hydrazine.html http://users.mrbean.net.au/~wlast/cancer6-remedies.html http://users.mrbean.net.au/~wlast/cancer7-therapies.html Also this afternoon I found a load of info on Bromelian, another amazing supplement.
