  1. I would recommend the Kumfi Dogalter out of all of the headcollars. Unlike most of the others it doesn't tighten, just gives you control. I have found that dogs seem to accept them better than other headcollars (probably because they don't tighten or ride up the face).
  2. We have a Henry and its fab, best hoover we ever had (well this is our second one, why change the brand if it works ). a friend also has a Henry which is perfect for cleaning up after her Lab and kids.
  3. This was the only website I could find with these tags and actually sent a cheque for 7 but never heard anything. Didn't even check to see if cheque had cleared, so would really like to order some when the address is confirmed, and as you all seem to trust the person then I'm happy
  4. Are these plastic tags? Been looking for years to find plastic tags saying that the dog is neutered and microchipped, but have been unsuccessful.
  5. mmmmm, chappy from Holby City, will be watching just for him ha ha
  6. Are they really comfy? I find normal wellies very sweaty and uncomfortable when having to wear them all day.
  7. Have ordered a pair each for me and mum, thanks for telling us. What are the wellies like?
  8. Hi Helen, We do , pm me if you want more details or a phone number. Jodie
  9. Just wanted to add that Masterplus Collars do have a beep button these days aswell
  10. This thread can be closed, Fern has found a home. Thank you
  11. I did my reiki 1 through Reiki Evolution and would definately recommend them, they have master teachers over the country, so you can choose one close to you. Take a look Reiki Evolution
  12. Jessie has gone to a new home today, so fingers crossed. She has actually gone to live with old friends of my parents, they hadn't seen me since I was really small so was a shock to see me all grown up. Supposably I did the washing up the last time I was at their house . Fern is still looking
  13. Jessie & Fern are 3 1/2 year old sisters. Below is some information written down about them from their previous owners. 'They were bought from a farm & have working parents. They have been brought up around cattle and predominantly live outside in a run with a kennel. Every evening they come inside to a back room to sleep. They are good natured & obedient - they walk to heel with or without leads. They have not been around children. It is with regret that we have to re home them due to a job relocation which means they will no longer be able to work on the farm. Over the past year they have not been so active on the farm & mainly been at home.' They have been given to us at the kennel were I work, for rehoming. They are super smiley girls and very affectionate. Fern is the boss and has the collie stare. Jessie is much more easy going, and not as forward with other dogs. She would need to be introduced slowly to show that other dogs are not scary. Jessie would love a dog to play with once she knows they are friendly - she tries to make Fern play, but Fern doesn't want to know. Fern has been worked on sheep aswell. Both are very attentive and are so willing to learn new things. Will do anything for food, and enjoy games with a ball. As said above, they haven't been around children, so would have to be introduced first. We will rehome separatley if the right homes come up. We feel that they need collie savvy homes as they working stock, and would excel at any doggie discipline - agility, flyball, obedience. Jessie on the left (large white blaze), Fern on the right. If you would like to know more, or are interested in one or both, please contact me. Jodie 07917 147235 (work mobile), [email protected]

  15. Don't think we are, but we are doing a UKA show there on 24th May. I live in Templecombe, near Wincanton
  16. I'd love to be able to reply, but I haven't got a clue what MCSE is. Sorry. But if its what you want to do, go for it
  17. Well Quizz & Fle are just over a year old. The last pics I posted of them were when they were about 6 months old. Quizz is still quite small, but makes up for that in attitude . Definately poses with attention when a ball is involved. I think he was about to say something (probably, give me the ball) This one is just because I love it Fleet is larger than Quizz - height wise but very sleek. Can't do anything slowly. (Excuse the eyes, I haven't had time to edit the photos). Getting ready for the ball to be thrown (I love the concentration with the tongue out ) I think he has such a kind face and eyes - and yes, he loves his cuddles. And just one of 4 of our dogs when we were on a walk the other weekend. Gem, Twiglett, Quizz & Dizzy. The boys have got their Kennel Club names through (working register). Quizz - JD's Don't Stop Me Now Fleet - Make My Day Punk (due to the punk hair on top of his head )
  18. A McTimoney chiropractor is none evasive, so shouldn't hurt. The dogs love it , would like to be able to afford to take myself sometime
  19. All dogs entered to show at Crufts must be entire (stupid if you ask me). A castrated male can only enter if you have word from the vet that the dog needed them removed because it was absolutely necessary, and then you have to get a certificate from the KC. Not too sure that they would know if a bitch was spayed if you didn't tell them
  20. A friend of mine took her young belgian shepherd dog to crufts. Lovely Bay got a 2nd and two 3rd's, and he has automatically qualified for Crufts next year. Don't know how it works, but obviously you don't need to win?????
  21. Our dogs have always been insured until now. The 2 youngest have never been insured, 2 others we didn't renew, waiting for other 3 to come up for renewal (which we won't). Its one of those 'what do I do' situations, all of ours past dogs have been insured (and with at least 5 dogs at one time, its very expensive) and haven't really called upon the insurance. And yes I know, better safe than sorry. But we kept thinking that if all that money had been put into an account then we would probably be rich now . So we now put the same amount that we would pay to the insurance company, into an ISA (more interest). When Bryn was diagnosed with lymphoma, we weren't in time for chemo, and he had just tests and scans. As he was over 8 years old the excess is really high, and we still had to pay £800. We are also lucky that we still have the money from our caravan in the ISA, incase anything was to happen. I'm sure that our house insurance covers public liability????? And I know this sounds wrong but - if we don't have the money to pay because someone sued us (heavens forbid), then you can't give them any money, or you would pay a very small amount every month. Please don't think its not that we don't care, I would find the money if needed, even if I had to take out a loan. But insurance companies take the p***, and it seems that more and more things are being excluded, and with M & S changing underwriters and placing stupid clauses and changing things, we've had enough. I would do anything for my babies, but you get fed up with companies just trying to get money. Please don't shoot me, its just my opinion .
  22. We've just had the same problems with ours and as there are 7 of them (and it went round again), we were told use Optrex Infected Eyes from the chemist aswell. Will definately remember the cold tea thing though.
  23. Not sure where I was up to when I last posted. I have read the first 3 books of the Alex Delaware series by Jonathan Kellerman (wanted to start at the beginning as I enjoyed a couple in the middle). Now reading Dean Koontz's Husband, which is good. Have got the next 3 in the series of Jonathan Kellerman (as above) and Brother Odd by Dean Koontz (as I have read the other 2 Odd books which were great). I got them all from Ebay (so maybe I should sell them on there again when I've finished them - or I'll have a house full of books )
