  1. They are looking so much better.
  2. I went swimming again. I managed 10 lengths. Now I hurt. Oww and my ears are full of water so I cant hear much lol
  3. They probably do, do aqua aerobics but will admit I'm a bit of a wuss at joining classes so I will probably start off getting back into swimming first.
  4. Hello. Im sneaking in here although I may run away screaming with all the scary gym talk. Have decided I need to get into reasonable shape esp with Sri Lanka coming up in September. Yesterday I went swimming and proved to myself how unfit I really am. I only managed 8 lengths and I ache like crazy now in my arms and between my shoulder blades. Im hoping to make it a regular thing and to build my stamina up. If I feel less achy tomorrow Im going to try again and maybe get another 2 lengths in.
  5. We've been camping and have been soooo lucky with the weather. It rained overnight both night but during the day we stayed mainly dry and were graced with a bit of sun. Louie wasnt playing ball with photos in the tent so her is Billy Boo surveying the field opposite where they were setting up an agility show. Georgina I hope you had a fan time at Margam Park. Our memories of that show in the past was the wind which destroyed our gazebo completely.
  6. auction ends this Saturday 9pm
  7. Have been away with work on a conference thingy in Daventry. Bonus was we got to stay in a really nice hotel and all the food was inclusive. Did mean I ate far too much at dinner and paid the price for it. I know I should only have starter and main or main and dessert as my body cant handle 3 courses but ooh noo its free so I stuffed myself stupid. Random Louie pic from the weekend:-
  8. Please come and 'like' our Auction page here Come along and see the wonderful goodies we have available to bid on. Please read our information note here on how to bid, our payment policies, suggestions on how to keep track of items you are interested in etc. Auction ends Saturday 15th June at 9pm. Those with the highest bids at this time will be deemed the winning bidders.
  9. Thanks Marion & Georgina We do it enjoy it when we are there - well if its busy the dead quiet ones arent much fun but the stall do take alot of preparation before hand which is time consuming. We do have people that come and help us out at some of our events. Always grateful to Elaine & Ron who have helped the last few years with Bowood & Caerphilly Big Cheese especially. I have to admit I have cut down on the number of shows and distance we go nowadays as its rather tiring. Lots of good thougths for Ted Sorry people are being moronic in work Alex Fingers crossed nothing serious for you Suzeanna I went to see another house. Although nice and nothing particularly wrong with it, it just didnt have the right feel. I think the small livingroom/diner may have been one of the key factors in this as I have quite a large family.
  10. Had our first show of the year yesterday and am paying for it today. My upper back and shoulders are so stiff. Was worth it though raised £151.60 for Oldies Club. Sandy is gorgeous I love the fact he rolled in ash straight after his bath Its damp here but think it may have stopped raining.
  11. I can drink Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max and Coke Zero but cant stand Diet Coke. Addiction is for the sugery stuff though lol Monkey World is fab Marion. I went there years ago. It wasnt as large as I thought it would be but still wonderful Hope stairlift stays fixed for you Jazz.
  12. Really windy here but blue skies. I am attempting to make a more conscious effort on what I eat & drink so they I can hopefully loose weight by the time my holiday comes around. Im rather addicted to Cola and have so far managed 2 days without any I dont want to cut out things completely but need to moderate how much and how often. Have booked viewing for next Tues.
  13. The difference in offer price to surveyor price was £20,000. It needs alot of work and even if they had knocked the price down I dont think I could have coped with the responsibility as I know absolutely nothing about buildings. I thought about it lots before making my final decision. Both solicitors and estate agents were quite shocked at the survey results. In other news I've seen another house which has a hoooge garden so I'm going to organise a viewing to see that one shortly. Houndwoman Im glad you have some answers and hope they help a little bit I would like to have a go at belly dancing. We've be trying to find a drop in class that doesnt make you sign up for 8-10 weeks at a time just to see if we like it.
  14. Thanks Griff. Its acutally a small adult t-shirt Louie has on and that the front but Id rather post a pic of him wearing it than me
  15. Update on me & house. Survey came back - really bad needs alot of work and money spent on it. Spoken to solicitors and estate agents this morning confirming that Im withdrawing my offer. So close and yet so far back to the drawing board
  16. Sorry for delay Mary have sent you an email now had a bit fo delay in final decisions So sorry Houndwoman Snow i have tear drop psoriasis its flipping annoying and nothing topical really seems to work. I was first misdiagnosed with a fungal infection before they confirmed it as psoriasis. I did have light treatment a few years ago and that did help. Im hoping going abroad in September will help with my placs. Apparently Dermatology is one of the busiest hospital departments and it can take an age to get a hospital appointment. Couple of random Louie pics as apparently i havent posted anything for a while. Showing off his new tag Fun at the beach Louie Framed
  17. Sorry Jayne Lots of good thoughts for Mummy Owl Blimey thats a long trip Sandra. Hilton Park Services on M6 between junctions J10A-11 is just north of Birmingham near Cannock might be suitable for you. Surveyor rang problems with roof. Yey not.
  18. Sorry havent really been on here much past few days. Cheeky ask if anyone is able to help with my transport run. Missing link Reading Services to Thorpe Park for this weekend. http://www.therefugeforums.org.uk/forums/index.php/topic/52914-transport-help-needed-port-talbot-to-sittingbourne/?do=findComment&comment=943695
  19. I love Derwentwater Marion. My friends parents used to run Cumbria House and I stayed there a couple of time. Still have my glasses from the beer festival Well as my brother has blabbed on my facebook I might as well tell you I put an offer in on the house I liked and its been accepted so now I've been talking to mortgage advisors and solicitors which all rather grown-up and a bit scary
  20. Thank you. Went out for a couple of drinks with a friend and we're going out for a meal tomorrow
  21. Electoral areas seem to vary widely. We have approx 256,000 electors over - 4 electoral wards and also have 6 community councils which are the equivalent of borough or parish wards. We have 70 councillors. We had our local elections last year so its been very odd today in the fact we havent been in the middle of election mayhem. Thanks Griff
  22. Be careful Suzeanna! A number of people I know have been suffering with their wisdom teeth recently. I only have one nad thankfully its already broken through even if its grown out at a weird angle. Griff sadly there are too many people out there who could do with a good slap. to all who need them. Things are going well on the housing front but I dont want to say too much and end up jinxing myself.
  23. Good luck Jazz Hope you're feelnig better soon Mary I took my Mum on second viewing yesterday evening. I put an offer in this morning. Eek! I now feel rather sick lol
  24. The tale continues ... Phoned estate agents and they said they had to mark it as sold stc but it still open to offers and that the offer received hasnt been accepted by seller as the person has a massive chain. This house buying lark is rather confusing.
