  1. Happy Birthday! Hope you have had a great day!
  2. Would quite like a hammock too!!

  3. Go Ben!! RMF for today: Rio has a smelly bottom & is managing to clear the room of not only me & OH, but Dex & Tye too, & Denzel cat isnt looking too chuffed with him either
  4. Neo Well he text me at 8.30am saying "Hello this is your Landlord, I will be round it 30 minutes", which my reply was "Thank you for letting me know, unfortunately it will be a wasted trip for you as I have gone to work". I think he was slightly miffed by that one I checked the rest of my Tenency agreement & it states that at all times he has to give me 5 working days notice minimum in writing (im assuming that is because it has to come via the post which can take a day or two) or 48 hours notice by phone, and it had to be of a convenient time. I rang hime & stated this & he said "well I will see you Thursday" to which I told him under no uncertain terms that I cannot take a day off on Thursday, but if it was that important & if he took no longer than 30 mins in the house I could do 1st thing tomorrow before I walk the dogs. He has agreed to this, but I have made it clear in future he must give the full 48 hours notice & that I cannot take time off work just so he can see the property. I have also spoken to the letting agent & they have said that if he tries to do it again before we move we can report him for "Tenant Harrasment", especially as they did not give him my correct mobile number & he has sought to find it, as their policy is that everything must go via them 1st. Ahh, I will be glad once ive moved! Alex, I hope the seatbelt saga ends soon for you
  5. Thanks We are on a rolling tenancy from 6 years ago, so for the life of me I have no idea where most of the tenancy agreement is (it was 15 pages long so I keep the most important 4 pages to hand). I will give the lettings agent a ring 1st thing in the morning. I just hope he doesnt turn up just as im going off to hospital, ive been waiting 6 months for this appointment!
  6. Can i quiz the Fugee's wise brains? Am I right in saying a Landlord has to give a minumum of 48 hours notice to visit a property (& even then it needs to be a mutually convenient time)? Our Landlord is selling up once we have moved out & he has done some repairs & the lettings agent gave us notice for end of may (we are actually moving before that as we can get in our new place sooner). We have always gone through our letting agent with regards inspections/visits, etc & I have only ever spoken directly to my landlord once in 6 years to confirm a paint colour, I have since changed my mobile number & my friend has the number I used to have-my letting agents have my correct number i assume as ive spoken to them on it a few times. Anyway I get a message from my friend who has my old phone this evening saying that she had just a message from Mr Landlord saying he will be round tomorrow at some point to see me, look at the property & discuss us moving. My friend then explains that she is not me & gives my mobile number. I have not had a call from him on my mobile number yet, but i cant call him as he was on a witheld number to my friend. Tomorrow I have work for a couple of hours then a hospital appointment in the afternoon with OH working all day. However what if he turns up on my door before I go to work, or just before I go to my hospital appointment? Am I within my right to tell him to basically sod off? This week isnt convenient at all for me anyway as I have work each day which I cant take time off from (i have to give a minimum weeks notice as even though Im self employed, my clients expect a weeks notice if i cant do a day, of which Im already doing half day tomorrow because of my hospital app) & OH is on 12 hour shifts all week. Can he demand I have to be there if he gives a time and date with 48 hours notice, even if it isnt convenient? On top of all this the house is a complete mess as we are half way through sorting out what we do & dont need ready for a dump run (or freecycle), so i really could do without him coming round to a mess. Any Fugee's able to offer advice? Thanks, Holly xx
  7. Taffy is Ive been lurking for quite a while due to having a crappy 2009 & beginning of 2010. Things are now starting to look up & hopefully i will have a little more time to myself to come on here a bit more often Five weeks today me, OH, the 3 musketeers & Denzel cat should be in our new house almost unpacked, Its a bit of a big move though. We have decided to leave everything we know in North Kent & move close to Torquay for a slower less stressful way of life & to be closer to my mum who moved there 4 years ago. OH will be starting his own business & Im going to continue my business from down there. Today was spent clothes sorting, 2 huge bin liners later & i think I have streamlined my wardrobe! Charity shop will be pleased To everyone whilst I catch up on Aprils RMF. Holly xxx
  8. Jazz I live in Dartford, we have had no snow at all yet, what time are you ment to be coming over the Bridge tomorrow? I can let you know what its like tomorrow morning if you like? Im hoping it stays clear enough as I need to get through the Tunnel in th afternoon to Essex to pick up some work & then back accross the Bridge in the evening. Holly x ETA Abby, did Sirius behave himself with you over Christmas?
  9. We have snow in Dartford, but despite the ground being dry & cold it just isnt settiling for some reason Ive never really liked snow but my 3 absolutely love settled snow & that makes me happy Usually when it snows we can walk them & not come accross any other dogs on the walk, whereas usually there are loads (& a few unruley) dogs. From reading threads before on snow, am i really the only one that seems to have dogs strange dogs that prefer snow to any other weather?
  10. I have had "Sky" call about a repair plan a number of times over the last 2 years. I have a repair plan actually through Sky that I took out 3 years ago (I know it was them because i had phoned Sky to pay for a Box Office film & the lasy noticed that the warranty on my Box & dish was about to run out so I was transferred to the Repair Team when I asked if they did an extended warranty/repair plan). One guy from the company that rings (so far none have been english so have had difficulty understanding them) I have had a blazing row with, as he kept trying to tell me that Sky do not have their own Repair Plan so all repairs go through them, he was pretty forceful about it, & tried telling me I had been scammed. I told him in no uncertain terms that I would call Sky & check with them, as I have always dealt with them. At the end of the conversation because I told him I wasnt going to listen to him & was going to put the phone down & ring Sky he said "listen b***h our company is in the right here, what would you know you are just a silly cow"!!! Needless to say everytime they call now I put the phone down, call Sky & ask whether their Repair Plan team called me, every time so far the answer has been no.
  11. Floss Agency are certainly a good place to try then as they always did PA stuff before i moved (strangely i remember that because it was next to the only Kebab place in Sevenoaks & i used to read the possitions in the window on a Friday night whilst queuing for a burger ) Floss
  12. Im originally from Sevenoaks, but now living not far away in Dartford. Im down in Sevenoaks most saturdays as my OH plays football for a team there & my brother & Dad still live down there. Sevenoaks is lovely & has some great dog walking areas & countryside. There's a few nice pubs & my brother works in one nearby in Chipstead that is dog friendly (they are allowed inside as well as out & the pub serves great food). Depending on what you are looking for work wise, i can let you know of some Recruitment Agencies in the area, but Floss Agency & Brook Street Agency are very good. You are more than welcome to message me on Facebook (im Holly Welstead on your friends list) if you want to meet up or would like more info on the area. Holly x
