  1. Tomorrow I'm meeting a Fugee. Who's meeting Tigger and Daisy. I am pretty sure I will end up Did do work on Saturday - just under 6 hours and ended up feeling completely crook when I got home. Lots of dross dealt with, but this week is heading down hill fast and the powers that need have remembered another huge task that want completing. By yesterday! Delighted to hear the good news about what Mothering Sunday meant to Snow.
  2. Snow Sending a great many "no hospital" thoughts your way - and "no pain" and "good experience if you do go into hospital" thoughts as well. Opened an e-mail at work this morning, and was absolutely convinced that it had to be an April Fool as no-one could have been so stooooopid as to agree to what they were asking me to implement for them. Unfortunately it wasn't. And I have had to sort out the resultant mess as best I can - one more to add to the tottering heap of too much, too onerous, work that is our corner of the office just now. My boss is back Monday, and I am practising carefully my response to her expected question "how are you?" My weekend may have to start with me going into work tomorrow morning. I feel as if I'm slowly and steadily going Obvious mistakes currently my speciality.
  3. Bedroom appears to fall into the Gypsy Wedding category. RMQs. Do I need to go into work on Saturday? Do I want to go into work on Saturday?
  4. Are you saying you are going to avoid me. Again? The good news is that the sun is shining. The bad news is that I don't want to talk to anyone at work for fear of shouting at them.
  5. Blimey. I thought you'd banned me! Just when I thought work couldn't get any worse, it does just to prove me wrong. Just nowhere to go with this one. I appear to be the only one awake here - and I'm hungry!
  6. Grrrrrr. Am currently supervising bone eating session! Why is it that sometimes Daisy will eat whatever 'bone' is put in front of her and other times all she will do is guard it for an hour, eat some of it when Tigger comes in having finished his, then guard it from him. And she was sooooooooooooo hungry this morning (deliberate ploy on my part) that her tummy was grumbling! Meanwhile, I daren't move in case there's a kick off between the two. Might have to pick it up in a minute so I can go get on with stuff. Merledogs, don't worry, I am eating - although I have to admit at the moment that I'm stressed enough by stuff that "eating" and "properly" do not always enter the same sentence .............. so yesterday I had had a bowl of cereal ........ and some Malteasers! However, my fruit-bowl-that-has-been-empty-for-a-week (my fruit bowl is NEVER empty) was filled up yesterday afternoon, so I have lots of fruity things to make me happy again. By the way, having now actually read back and caught up, loved the fact that you were the winner in a Supper Lotto - definitely my kind of win! And now Daisy has decided to start eating again, so I daren't move! By the way Lesley, am hoping to catch your programme later - looking forward to that - as is my ironing mountain.
  7. For me the only good thing about teh clocks going forward is that I might be able to kid myself that I will wake up at a reasonable time. Must buy some lavendar oil - anything's worth a try! You're expecting quadruplets? Little sisters for Andy?
  8. Love to know where you are going to be based ........ and whether you think you are going to have any free moments.
  9. Alicia, I am so sorry. I never find it any easier to know what to say. RMSelfishQ Can stress make you feel giddy/dizzy? Having a horrendous time at work recently, and had to leave the office at 12 today so under even more pressure - and had a complete dizzy spell from 11.50 am to around 2.00 pm - never had one like that before, and feel fine now, so don't know whether it was down to that or something completely different. Don't want it happening again if I can work out the cause!
  10. Merledogs sorry to hear about your Gran - what a beautiful photo. Houndzrus I think you were had with the "small" quantity of manure. Looks as if your dogs might have smelt very 'interesting' last night. Spins4Me so pleased you managed to improve the looks of your arms, but did you have a good time? Trallwm Farm- definitely going to try that - but another day. I am a somewhat sad person who likes cottage cheese. Owl - sorry your dogs still on the loose - there's many a person out there who has good cause to be thankful for your determination in helping dogs on the loose. Was up unsuitable early for a Sunday morning - for reasons not of my making - and now everyone is having Sunday afternoon snoozes and I am procrastinating about my Sunday afternoon admin by being here. So, I'm going to be off and do my admin. You never know, I might fit in a snooze too if I crack on with it.
  11. I'm really pleased that you've gone to the Police - although it must be a bit of a worry if you are not sure you have the whole story. Are the Police aware that you are concerned that no-one is in the house sometimes? Is it worth mentioning it as sometimes they will run a car down the street if they know there is an expectation of trouble. And, do you have any nice neighbours who are around during the day that you could ask to keep an eye on the house - with permission for them to report absolutely anything to the Police that they are concerned about?
  12. If you want to let me know either here or by PM exactly which course you are looking at, I can ask someone who used to teach there - who's opinion I would entirely trust. Not sure if any of her current assistants have been on the courses up there recently, but if so I will ask them too. My general impression of the courses up there is that they receive a thumbs up - but they may also be slightly biased and say the ones at Lincoln (Riseholme) are even better.
  13. Spins4Me - I'd go mega doses of E45 or baby lotion - check if it needs topping up every hour! Must admit I'd skip the sparkly bits - too worried it would draw attention to something I wanted people not to look at. At the end of the day I would hope that folks would appreciate your company for what it undoubtedly is - not go looking for spots, freckles and wrinkles! Go enjoy yourself.
  14. "Trawllm Farm", think that's called a challenge too far for me! I jut go ........... erm ........... "James Bond?" Clutch at straws - don't suppose this be she? http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/midwales/hi/tv_and_radio/newsid_8385000/8385895.stm PS If she's penny pinching please ask what she'd do with 2 pints of nearly gone orf milk please. Just so she knows what sane folks you mix with.
  15. Snow Your life is way too exciting - hope Nog's OK - and hope you're taking care of your eyes too. Merledogs believe me, I don't go by sell by dates. Nose and taste are my guide - and the taste says I have 24 hours before this milk goes solid! One large and two small farmhouse fruit cakes in the oven (1 pint). Blueberry muffins (nearly half a pint) next as I picked up 4 tubs of blueberries for a quid at the Market. After that .......... I'm a thinking. Tigger and Daisy tucked into their bones beautifully - and Daisy even allowed Tigger in the same room after he'd finished first and had to come back in 'cause he was barking at the boy next door - the lad spends weekends with Dad but does like to gaze out of his window at Tigger which Tigger just can't cope with!
  16. Morning. Lovely and sunny here. Towels will dry outside today which is great. Trying to work out what I am going to do with nearly 3 pints of about to go off full fat milk. I feel a baking day coming on! Need to get myself organised as it's big bones for breakfast today, and I just like to be at a point in my chores where I can generally supervise the consumption! There's not usually a problem, but I don't like to be complacent. Off to finish one or two things. Hopefully be back later to find out how everyone's doing ............. and how wet they are.
  17. Can anyone point me in the right direction for our resident greyhound expert please - I'm wanting the "racing" aspect expert, rather than the 'keeping as a pet' expert. Need some info. Thanks.
  18. Need to catch up properly, but meantime .............. up and iced two cakes, about to prep the coleslaw - except the grater is there and I am here, so I will half prep the coleslaw! Foot is much better thank you - obviously me doing what the Doctor ordered for once, albeit in desperation, actually did the trick - just put me behind on the prep for the weekend. Great fun yesterday - trying to cook numerous LARGE jacket potatoes in a gas oven with a door that kept falling off (the paperwork said "electric oven in full working order" Think it was just as well I was working for "dog people" who took it all very well and in their stride. There's some spare croissants and cinnamon rolls here if anyone would like me to throw some your way ................... and still enough to serve for breakfast too. Anyone, must dash, I have to do a creative invoice.
  19. Morning. Just off to feed and water folks at a weekend dog event. Starting with croissants and cinnamon rolls ...... and coffee ......... for me. Think the weekend starts "first find out where on earth you are going .........."
  20. Alex, it's not on at 9.00 pm, it's on NOW!
  21. Oooh. Thanks for the info Merledogs. Potters off to upset Mr B yet again by programming the superdooper TV recorder thingy which then automatically switches over from whatever programme he happens to be randomly watching at the time. I do try to explain that at least I am Planning My Viewing!
  22. Jazz Ditto what Rufus the Wonderdog said. Hope you can get some treatment to help you soon. Meanwhile, take good care of yourself.
  23. Sam, your event looks very exciting. I may have a clash of dates, but will know this week ............ then just need to find something to wear! Thanks everyone for all the good foot wishes. Still sore today, but so far have resisted the temptation to run any marathons. Off to see if I can write a meaningful list of things to do which includes lots of sitting down and elevating foot. I feel a "sorting through paperwork" type of day coming on. RMQ Is sleep good for healing? Was up at 5 this morning 'cause Daisy decided she had to go out. Then, when Mr B went out, I unusually, for me, went back to sleep. And dreamt there were five kittens in Daisy's crate, which Tigger and Daisy were gazing at - an unlikely dream to say the least!
