  1. Russ is now in his new home Good Luck little-one
  2. Russ is a very sweet little lad. He is well socialized having been raised in a noisy, family household and is used to cats, kids and other dogs Please contact Kathy Trout (07711 617148) [email protected]
  3. Just to update this ... Molly cat has gone to a fab new home today
  4. They are funny arn't they? My two deaf dogs sleep with me and as soon as I turn the alarm off they know by my movement that it's time to get up and jump about all over me ... if the alarm is not on and I just get up about the same time for a wee neither of them turn a hair !
  5. Fab pics ... I am training a deaf pup in sign language (I know where to come if I get stuck now - ) Where was the show? That building looks sooo familiar it is driving me nuts - lol
  6. Just wanted to update you about Smeagal I offered him a foster home through K-nine Care and before he even reached me someone snapped him up So he is now in his new home with the company of a playmate who looks just like him WAY-2-Go little man No. 1540: SMEAGAL - SAFE
  7. I know that this is going to sound really balmy ... I have one dog that is deaf and blind, one half blind in only one eye and one that is blind in one and can only see a tiny amount in the other ... phew that took some writing ! Anyway, what was I saying (?) oh yes this is the daft bit ... With all of them I took them around the garden on a very short lead with me on my hands and knees and showed them where things were (just a little at a time going a little bit further everytime - it took only few times of looking like an idiot until they got the hang of it. I also did the same with the stairs by having them between my legs up and down I know. I know - I did say it was crazy but it has worked for all of mine and they now bomb about the house and garden without a care, even the completely deaf and blind one
  8. HeHeHe ... at the end of the month I get to play with them for a whole weekend
  9. Ahhh she is boootiful I wish I was in a position to have her here but I think 3 collies all with some form of disability is enough for anyone but ... Are you going to foster until she finds a forever home? (Hope so then we can watch just how much she is going to come-on with 'you lot' ) How is she with hand signs? My little Berezi has limited sight in one eye and she has picked it up really well and now thinks every time someone moves that they are trying to 'talk' to her Keep us posted and if I can be of any help you know my number - just shout
  10. Molly came to me because she had sneaked into a neighbours caravan to have her kittens (cleaver girl) but they thought otherwise So she came to me complete with 2 new born kittens and as soon as I had settled her in she produced No3 She's one of the known strays around here (about 2 years) but by the way she has taken to home-comforts I am sure she must have been someones pet. We have again tried to find out if anyone is missing her but nothing (same as all the other times when people had tried) She'd always been very scared of people but once she had decided we were not going to hurt her or her babies she was all over us and now loves to be fussed (demands it from visitors now as well ) She is litter trained although this week she has been popping outside to 'do it' when the door's been open. She is a beautiful (black and white) long haired puss who is such a darling She is living with dogs but is still not their biggest fan (she shouts a lot at them but mine are deaf so she gets ignored ) Please meet Molly I would keep her (if I didn't have 4 cats of my own) but one of her kittens is disabled and I am going to look after it here until it has finished with the vets. (She will need to be spayed but I am trying to get a voucher so that can be done) Soooo .... Could you find room on your settee for this very sweet little girl Please make the answer 'YES' and give me a call 0790 3000 322 Mods I hope this is okay to post this - if not please let me know
  11. Is your dog as mad as mine?

  12. Looked at these but they are bigger than the tent And anyway my doglets always sleep curled up around me so would be no good Foam sounds a great idea and a huge suitcase ... see I knew you'd all have fab ideas
  13. That is sooo great to hear ... can't wait for the pics
  14. I am new to this camping lark but am (hopefully) off to the Wag and Bone Show in August with two Border Collies ... trouble is finding an easy to carry (don't drive so going by train) double sized doggie-claw proof matress for the tent because they both sleep with me. Any ideas ?
