We are a group of (hopefully) like minded people who love our pets. In the Refuge we share stories, pictures, health issues and help various rescues with fundraising, rehoming, transport and anything else we get asked.
There are also areas for general chit-chat, fun stuff and, for those made of sterner stuff, a controversial forum (though it occasionally gets messy in there).
Members have the ability to start their own blog and there is gallery space for you to share pics of your pets.
How can you help? There are many ways that you can get involved...
Give a dog, cat, rat or other animal a loving home,
Offer to transport a dog from a pound to a rescue,
Offer to foster
Join in with an online auction or other fundraising event
Go to a show and support a rescue
etc etc
We also run a "Help a Rescue Scheme" - every month we get our members to nominate rescues that they would like to benefit. Members then subscribe to the scheme by paying from £1 to £10 (your choice!). Members who subscribe get the title "Rescue Supporter" and get extra PM space (We are looking to extra "perks" to encourage membership). All monies go directly to the winning Rescue via Paypal, not one penny stops in the Refuge.
