Just wondered whether you'd seen this & what DNB make of it? I'm not convinced personally that petitioning for change rather than repeal & replacement of the DDA doesn't add credence to the idea that there should be such an act Posted Image

I will never agree with Section 1 of the DDA however, while we do have it, it should be made easier and less stressful for owners and dogs, to apply for exemption.
So in that case, I don't disagree with the petitioners request.

i fear that very soon we are all going to have rather a lot to worry about

but in the meantime my view is that section one should be repealed and irresponsible owners of all breeds made to face their responsibilities, though i doubt any government or potential government would even contemplate such a thing especially with an election coming up.

making it easier for people unwittingly caught up in the act to ensure their dogs are allowed to live is something we need to see happen in the interests of animal welfare without it being seen as condoning the acts existance. :flowers:

When will we get some action on the growing theft of dogs for dog fighting? More Asbos for dog dancers? This is a serious attack from the dog haters ; whe should make a bigger stand.

A better petition in my opinion - calling, as Rumpole has suggested above for the repeal of the 1991 BSL
