dirtychicken
I had no problems at all installing Flash when using IE but I'm having huge problems installing it whilst using Chrome and it is making it almost impossible to use Photobucket, etc without it I've done some Googling and it appears that the reason that I keep getting the error message "there is not enough disk space; please clear 5000kb and try again" has got nothing to do with the amount of memory that I have free (I have loads!) but is because my main hard drive is labelled E and the Flash plug in tries to install to a C drive I don't quite understand why this is a problem for Chrome when it wasn't for IE but apparently Firefox users have had the same problem, so does anyone have any idea how I can get around this please? dirtychicken
This is becoming a right pain in the arse The more I learn to love Google Chrome, the more annoying the lack of plug ins become. Does anybody have any idea how I can fix this, please? Pretty please?
Pingu
erm dunno my O/S etc is on my G drive but I have no problems with viewing flash using chrome if your c drive is totally full then you may need to free up some space anyhow

cycas
I *think* that what's going on here is that the 'can't install without a C drive' thing is specific to the new version of Adobe Flash, 10. My guess would be that the version of Flash you've got installed for your IE is version 9, which doesn't have the coding error that requires a C drive. It's rather a silly thing really, someone has hardcoded a requirement to put it on a drive called C rather than just looking for whatever the main hard drive is called, or allowing you to choose one. There are some workarounds for the version 10 installer here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/for...p;enterthread=y You could also look for a version 9 of flash for Chrome, that should be able to install OK if you can find it.
